Being in GIS showed me how maps are more than something you point to when you want to find the nearest food spot, and that inspired me to use map visualizations and geospatial patterns to bridge the gap between people and data. I want to turn abstract geographic information into something people can connect with and remember the next time they look for a place to eat at.
